Exam Stress?
Workshop for students at Athlone Library on Thursday 3rd April from 4-5pm. Facilitator Finola Colgan of Mental Health Ireland will give free sound advice in relation to preparing for exams.

Table Quiz
In aid of St. Aloysius' College will be held on Thursday 10th April at 8.30pm in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel. Table of 4: €40. Students: €5 each or €20 for table of 4.

On Tuesdays during Lent at 6.30pm in Monksland Community Centre. Everyone welcome.

Trócaire Lenten Campaign
Envelopes containing Trócaire Fast Boxes are available at the back of the churches. Every home is asked to bring one and support Trócaire in helping people to make a living so that they can escape poverty.

Clonown/Athlone 5k-10k Run

Darkness Into Light
This year Athlone will be hosting a Darkness Into Light 5k run/walk fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House, which will take place on May 10th at 04:15am. Further information and registration details are available on dil.pieta.ie

Parade starts at 2.30pm from Golden Island. Music entertainment and buskers through the parade. Children's magic show in the Civic Square from 3.15-4.15pm. Bouncing Castle 2-4pm.

Join Our Boys - Public Meeting
A meeting will be held in Drum Parish Hall on Tuesday 18th March commencing at 8 pm. Michael Cleary leader of fundraising in Roscommon will attend. Please come along and support this worthy cause. Full details on www.joinourboys.org

Clann na nGael Registration
Registration evening for all boys and girls U6–U10 on Friday 21st March from 5-9pm in the Clubhouse, Johnstown. New players and parents are most welcome.

Drum/Clonown Community Games
Swimming will take place on Friday 21st March in Athlone Swimming Pool at 6.15pm. Registration takes place at 5.45pm. All competitors are to be pool side at 6.10pm.

Following the recent closure of Duffy's Shop and Ballydangan postal agency, people in receipt of Social Welfare payments can apply to have their payment transferred to Cornafulla Post Office by contacting the Department of Social Protection. It is important that people continue to support our local post office in order to ensure that viability and availability of this essential service within our community.

Ash Wednesday and Lent

Ash Wednesday is a day of Fast and Abstinence and the beginning of the season of Lent. Ahses will be distributed during the 7pm Mass in Drum and during the 7.30am, 9.30am & 7.30pm Masses in Ss. Peter & Paul's Church.

Pastoral assistance in Polish
We would like to inform you that in our church there is the possibility to receive pastoral services in the Polish language, including: Confession, help in preparation for the sacrament of baptism and marriage in Ireland or in Poland.
