The Pilgrimage usually comprises about 600 people, including 50 sick people who are cared for by 60 of a staff including 2 doctors, 25 nurses, 15 handmaids, and 20 brancardiers. The Pilgrimage also includes approximately 70 young people (from ages 16 to 21) who are looked after by 10 youth leaders. There are approximately500 regular pilgrims from all over the diocese - led by Bishop Jones.
Pilgrims who are sick and would like to travel with special invalid section should apply for an application form to Fr. Ray Milton (details below).
The cost includes:
- Air travel from Knock to Lourdes return.
- Transfer and assistance between Lourdes airport and your hotel on arrival/departure.
- Full board and accommodation in Lourdes.

Booking Procedure:
All Bookings on the Pilgrimage should be made through Joe Walsh Tours, 8/11 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2. Tel: 01-2410810 / 01-2410800. No booking is definite until they have received a completed booking form and €200 non-refundable deposit and until this deposit is receipted by their office.
Sick & Invalid Section
Pilgrims who are sick and who would like to travel with the special invalid section for the sick should apply for an application form to Rev. Ray Milton, Drum Parish Office, Drum, Athlone, Co. Roscommon. Tel: 090-6437125. This special invalid/sick section is accommodated at the new Accueil Notre Dame (hostel for the sick in Lourdes). Very Important: Acceptance for travel with the special section for the sick is subject to approval of the Pilgrimage Medical Board.
