Fr. John Coughlan Leaving
The annual Diocesan clerical changes have brought the sad news that our curate Fr. John Coughlan will be leaving in August after two years working in this parish. He will be taking up a new role as Chaplain in Sligo Inatitue of Technology where he was once a student. Fr. John endeared himself to his parishoners during his time here and was very involved in the Liturgical life of the parish, as well as the renovation work in Ss. Peter & Paul's Church and Clonown Church. He will be sadly missed. We wish him every success in his new role and he brings with him the good wishes of all in Athlone.
