The Gathering Ireland 2013
This is a tourism initiative aimed at encouraging people abroad who are Irish born, Irish bred or "Irish in spirit" back to the country next year to attend some of the many festivals and special events which will celebrate the best in Irish music, art, literature, dance, culture, heritage, sport, film and food.
The Gathering is supported by the GAA so Roscommon GAA will be playing it's part in assisting with, and organising events. In order to inform as many people as possible about what will be happening in the county, we are compiling a contact list of Roscommon people abroad. We are inviting people to sign up for the list by sending an email with their name and location (i.e. City or State or Country) to abroad@gaaroscommon.ie and over the months ahead we will send them a few emails to inform them of the progress of our activities and of other Gathering events within the county. We will also be keeping you informed of what's happening. -Coiste Contae Ros Comáin CLG
