O'Gara Cup
Clann na nGael (2) 3-09 Eire Og 2-08
Clann's 2nd team had a tremendous win over Eire Og last Saturday in Cushla Park. This was the first adult match played here and the good underfoot conditions helped make this a very entertaining game. 2 first half goals from David Lennon gave Clann the lead but Eire Og fought their way back into the game and it took a goal and a point from Matt Scally in the last few minutes to put some breathing space between the teams. The defence was excellent with Phelim O'Neill in goal pulling off some point blank saves and Kenneth Dowling at centre back as commanding as ever. Paul Bruce and Denis Gavin gave powerful displays in midfield and 2 goal hero David Lennon and Emmet Rock showed the way in attack.

Ladies Senior League
Clann na nGael 3-11 Padraig Pearses 0-04
Clann Ladies defeated Pearses in a match played in near perfect conditions in Woodmount on Easter Monday. Clann got off a good start with 2 points from Emma Harney followed quickly by a great score from Tracey Keegan. They continued to put pressure on the Pearses defence with Aisling Egan and Ruth Finlass dominant in midfield. A penalty from Ruth and another goal from Michelle Harney-Nolan was some reward for there dominance, as Clann led 2-08 to 0-02 at the break. Facing into the breeze in the second half a great free from Ruth increased Clann's lead. Ciara Fallon scored a another great point after a good run and despite hitting the woodwork on several occasion Clann closed out the game with another goal from Ruth. Amy O'Reilly and Clodagh Rock performed excellently in defence while Aisling Egan ran herself into the ground in midfield. Up front Ciara Fallon, Emma Harney and Tracey Keegan linked up well to create many scoring opportunities.
