Reflection Area
Cemetery Mass and Blessing of Reflection Area
Drum Cemetery Voluntary Group would like to invite everyone to the official blessing of the New Reflection Area in Drum Cemetery on Saturday 8th October. Commencing with Mass at 2pm celebrated by Fr. Ray Milton, followed by the presentation of a new online database record of the graves in the middle graveyard. Refreshments afterwards in Drum Parish Hall.

Farewell Function
Due to the death of Canon Paddy Murray, the farewell function for Fr. Ray Milton due to be held on Fruday 30th September was cancelled. Members of the organising committee presented Fr. Ray with the proceeds of the collection and a specially commissioned bog-oak piece featuring a St. Brigid's Cross with an inscription "To Fr. Ray from the People of Drum:  July 1997 - August 2011." Fr. Ray is very grateful to the people of Drum for the generosity and good wishes, and said he has very fond memories of his time in Drum. Fr. Ray will be back in Drum this Saturday 7th October to bless the new reflection area at Drum Cemetery.

Drum Active Age
Meeting on Tuesday 4th October at 3-5pm in Drum Parish Hall. New members welcome.

Drum I.C.A.
Monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday 4th October at 8.30pm in Drum Community Centre. All members requested to attend. New members most welcome.

A special word of thanks to the people who contributed so generously to the collection for County Roscommon Association supporting People with Special Needs, and to all those who delivered newsletters and the collectors.

Drum Bingo
Resumes this Friday 7th October in Drum Community Centre. Doors open at 8pm and bingo starts at 8.30pm.

Athlone Parish Bingo
As a mark of respect to the late Canon Patrick Murray, the parish bingo in Athlone on this Sunday night 2nd October has been cancelled.

Hip Hop Dance Classes
Roscommon Sports Partnership are starting Hip Hop dance classes for boys and girls in Monksland Community Centre. Wednesday evenings 6-7pm (age 6-10) or 7-8pm (age 10-13). Cost €2. All welcome.

Irish Céilí, Sean Nós and Set Dancing
Classes on Monday evenings in Athlone G.A.A. Club, Páirc Chiaráin, Ballymahon Road from 8.30-10.30pm. All welcome.

Post Leaving Course
At Roscommon Community College. Limited number of places are still available on the Business Studies Secretarial Course. The course runs from now until May 2012, 5 days per week. For further information please contact Eileen Ryan at 090-6626670.

Athlone Community College Musical
Production of 'Grease' will take place in the Dean Crowe Theatre from Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th October. Tickets are available from the Dean Crowe Theatre and also from the school 090-6472625.

Creative & Development Workshops

Play Well
Make a hospital stay child's play by joining our volunteer team at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. Volunteers give 2/3 hours, weekday mornings or afternoons, once a week. Training and on-going support is provided. Locall 1890-252682 or email info@childreninhospital.ie
