St. Stephen's Day Charity Match
Married 5 – 18 Singles 6 – 12
The Married lads made it 3 in a row when they defeated a very spirited Singles challenge. The Married lads were the better in a tough but fast flowing first half, and led by 8 points at the break.
The married extended their lead, but the fitness of the single lads took over. But some last ditch defending by Pat Greene kept the singles at bay. The Married hung on to be deserving winners.
After the match there was craic and ceoil for a few hours as the married celebrated and the singles nursed their broken pride. Music was provided by Bernard, Patrice and Amy Coyle, and they were by many other entertainers. Money raised from the day went to St Hilda’s services, and it was very much appreciated. Both teams would like to thank everyone who helped out on the day.

The Clann na nGael club social will take place in the Athlone Springs Hotel on Friday January 9th. This will be a historic occasion, as it is the first time the clubs social will take place in the Athlone Springs Hotel. Tickets are available from any committee member, and The Athlone Springs Hotel. It is important that you get your tickets early to avoid disappointment on the night.
