Clann na nGael Notes

Lá na gClub 2010
We would like to invite you to our special Lá na gClub Celebration Day in Clann na nGael, Johnstown on Sunday May 9th 2010. We had a very successful day last year and we had many things to celebrate. Buying our new field, upgrading the lights and the investment personally made by many of the families in the area. This year the G.A.A. have asked all clubs again to have this family day again. This year we have more items on display in our Museum within the Clubhouse. We have reframed many of our pictures and will have the facility to show matches in the main hall of the Clubhouse. There are always opportunities for improvement and we are trying to maintain and improve our facilities all the time. FAS have also played a large part in getting a lot of work completed around the grounds and within the Clubhouse. We would like to thank everyone for the support in the past and we hope to build on this in the future. At the moment we have introduced Gaelic to new children who live in the area, with our Gaelic on the Greens programme. This has been very well supported by the families in the Monksland area, and we hope to see these families enjoy our family day on May 9th 2010. Our day will start off with Mass at 11am in the Club house followed by a Parade with all our underage players and the Raven Marching Band. Entertainment will be supplied by a selection of our younger members in the afternoon. After which a match will take place on our main pitch with the Married v Singles teams. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
