St. Joseph's College, Summerhill

Clonown Table Quiz
Clonown Community Site Project table quiz takes place in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on Thursday 20th November at 8pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
The County Roscommon Association Supporting People with Special Needs wish to express sincere thanks to all who supported their annual church gate collection in both Drum and Clonown recently. The total amount collected was €1,134.50.

Drum Remembrance Christmas Tree
A Christmas tree will be put in place in Drum Cemetery to remember all the deceased buried in our local graveyard. Ribbons will be placed on the tree on Sunday 7th December after the 10am mass. Ribbons cost €2 each and will be on sale after the weekend masses in Drum Church and from Drum Parish Office from the 17th November until the 7th December. A family in the parish is responsible for this fundraiser and all proceeds will be donated to Drum Cemetery Voluntary Group for the upkeep of the graveyard.

Social Play Skills Group
Is your child experiencing difficulties making and maintaining friendships? A social play skills group run by an experienced psychotherapist and play therapist is starting on Tuesday 18th November in Cornafulla Old School for children aged 6-8 and 9-11 years old. Ladies Fitness Classes
Get Fit - Stay Fit Class including body toning, cardio workout, fat burning and weight loss, commencing Thursday 30th October in Drum Community Centre at 6.45pm. Contact instructor Gerry 086-0881653 for more information.

Chalice Programme
The programme will commence in the parish on Friday 28th November. If interested in taking part, please contact the parish office in Athlone 090-6492171 or Drum 090-6437125 for more details.

November Envelopes
Are available at the back of the church for those who wish to have their deceased relatives and friends prayed for during the month of November.

November Novena
Novena of Masses for the Souls of the Faithful Departed, especially those who have died in the past year, will be held throughout the month of November in Ss. Peter & Paul's Church. Mass at 7.30pm daily on the 19th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th November, and concluding with 11am Mass on Saturday 29th November.

Offertory Envelopes
Boxes of envelope will be distributed to households in the Parish during the next fortnight. If you are new to the area or are not currently using envelopes and would like to contribute to the weekly Offertory Collection, please contact the Parish Office in Athlone 090-6492171 or Drum 090-6437125 to arrange a box of envelopes. A word of thanks is due to all those who help each year with the distribution of envelopes. This in itself is a huge task and if you would like to help in delivering envelopes in the areas that have no distributors, contact the Parish Office and your help would be greatly appreciated.
