O'Gara Cup
Clann na nGael 3-10 Creggs 2-06
The Athlone Springs sponsored senior team defeated Creggs on Sunday in Creggs. Clann were first to score with a Matt Scally point from play before Creggs replied with two pointed frees. Enda Kenny then placed Ross Naughton for a goal, which he finished to the roof of the net. Two frees from Donal Shine left Clann leading at half-time 1-3 to 0-4, though Clann had Darren Lennon to thank for an excellent save midway through the first half. A ten minute scoring spree early in the second half when Clann accounted for 1-5, appeared to wrap up the game, the goal coming from Enda Kenny after a great catch and lay-off from David Lennon. Points from Donal Shine, Jonathon Dunning and Enda Kenny gave Clann a ten point cushion before Creggs replied with a penalty. Matt Scally got another goal for Clann before a late goal from Creggs left seven points between the teams at the full-time whistle. Clann were well served by Ollie Harney, Kenneth Dowling and Niall McManus at the back and up front it was a day that all the forwards made telling contributions.

Mid-South Division 4 League
Clann na nGael 1-09 Creggs 1-11
The Samz Tavern sponsored Junior B Team narrowly lost out to Creggs last Friday evening. Two early points from James Keegan gave Clann the lead but Creggs replied with three scores in a row and they held a 0-6 to 0-5 lead at half-time. Creggs were first to score on the resumption before two points from Clann wing back Donal Beirne reduced their margin to the bare minimum. Creggs increased their lead with a goal and a point before Keith O'Neill struck for a Clann goal and a point from the impressive Niall Lennon left it a one point game. Try as they might Clann couldn't get the equaliser and Creggs rounded off the scoring with another point.
