Clann na nGael Notes

Scor Sinsear
Hard Luck to the Clann Scor Question Time team of Tommy Harney, Tom Nolan and Sean Murray who were defeated in the All-Ireland Final in the INEC in Killarney over the week-end. The winning team from Allenwood in Kildare were first time winners in what was their 9th final over a 30 year period, so nobody could begrudge them a title. In all, three titles crossed the Shannon, Ballinamore of Leitrim (Novelty Act), Corofin (Instrumental Music), Abbeyknockmoy (Set Dancing) and also congratulations to neighbours Moate and Brian Dolan who won the Recitation and Clara for winning the Ballad Group. Close to 2000 people attended the event in what was a very successful weekend and the Club would like to thank Coiste Scor Roscommon and Connacht for all their help.

Ladies U-12 Championship - Division 1 & 2
St Ciarans 0-4 Clann na nGael 1-9
Clann had a good win over a very strong St Ciarans team in Feurty on Sunday. The scoreline perhaps doesn't do justice to a very even contest and the Clann girls performed very well under pressure to produce their second win in the competition.

Ladies U-12 Championship - Division 3 & 4
St Marys 5-6 Clann na nGael 4-3
This team are getting stronger and stronger and performed admirably on Saturday in Tulsk. Only for 2 late goals from St Marys they could have been in for a much deserved share of the spoils but again the performance was a credit to the team and management.

Ladies U-14 Feile Semi-Final
Clann na nGael 9-13 Padraig Pearses 1-1
The U-14 girls had a convincing win over neighbours Padraig Pearses on Sunday in the Feile S/F. Clann lead 2-3 to 0-1 at the break but completely took control thereafter and now have a chance of completing back to back Feile titles on Tuesday week against St Ciarans.
