La na gClub - Update

There are only a few days left to the G.A.A. 125 celebrations on Sunday 10th May, and things are moving very nicely in Johnstown. The play is coming along well with actors including Joey Connaughton, Emmet Durney, Mike Keena, Sarah Seery, Joe Fallon and Niall Mc Manus. The play is based on the formation of the club 73 years ago. The play was written and directed by Liam Dunne.

A local derby between former students of Ardkeenan/Bealnamulla/Summerhill schools against former Students of Cornafulla/Clonown schools will take place in Johnstown at 3.30pm. All players are welcome, and you don’t have to be from the any of the schools. We have two celebrity managers - Fr John Mc Manus and Cannon Liam Devine with their mentors Ownen Manus and Fran Nicholson. The referee for day will be Gerry Kinneavey.

There are many other activities taking place in Johnstown on Sunday including the opening of the new pitch by our club presidents and the launch of the Club Museum. There is something for all to partake in. So see you all in Johnstown on Sunday.
