Pioneer Enrolment

The Drum branch of the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association invites the children who are to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from both Ardkeenan N.S. and Cornafulla N.S. to take the Pioneer Pledge and become members of the association. The ceremony, which was originally scheduled to be on Saturday evening, 16th May during the 8pm mass, will now be held on Tuesday, 26th May in St. Brigid's Church, Drum. Members of the local Pioneer Committee will be available at the Church during the special ceremony to enable the children to register and the Pioneer Pins will be blessed during the ceremony. Young Pioneers promise to abstain from drink until they are at least 18 years of age and to keep off drugs for life. We welcome all those who wish to join us and look forward to a big turnout.
