Clann na nGael Notes

Four County Finals
The coming weekend is going to be a very busy, and hopefully successful, weekend for the club. For starters we have the Under 12 final with the Clann lads taking on Padraig Pearses. This will be a tough encounter so we will need a large crowd down supporting them. Then it will be time to take the short journey to Fuerty where the Junior A team will take on local rivals St Brigid's. Paul and the lads will be expecting the same level of support as we had for the past few weeks. Then it will be time for the Junior B decider against Boyle. Hopefully you won't be too tired of standing up and stay around and shout on the lads. The Under 14 Girls also have a county final on Saturday against St Ciaran's. Time and venue have not been released at time of press. It would be nice to see a bit of colour around the area for the four teams on Saturday. It is very important that all the teams get all the support possible as we are up against top class opposition in all four finals, so come on and support all our players on Saturday.

Youth Development Race Night
As a prelude to the finals the Clann na nGael Youth Development race night is on Friday at 9pm in the Athlone Springs. It is sure to be great night, so to have an interest in the night put your hand in your pocket and support the club. You can bet on the races, and then you will have a chance to buy a Horse in an auction for the last race. There will be many spot prizes and light refreshments on the night. Like all the finals, the Club needs your support. Aall are welcome to enjoy an 'up for match' type evening. Contact any member of the committee.
