Clann na nGael Notes

LADIES U 16 CHAMPIONSHIP
Clann na nGael   8 – 5    Fours Roads   3 – 2
The Clann na nGael u 16 girls took on Four Roads at the weekend. The Clann girls played into the face of a storm in the first half and they trailed by a point at the break.
Clann upped the ante in the second half, and some fine finishing ensured a semi final for the Clann girls.

SCOR
Congratulations to Sean Murray, Tom Nolan and Tommie Harney who won their third question time county title in row on Saturday evening. They now go on to represent club and county in the Connaught final in Elphin.

ALL IRELAND TALENT SHOW
The club would like to congratulate Bernard and Eva Coyle on a brilliant  performance on the All Ireland Talent Show on Sunday evening. They were unlucky not to get through to next round, but they won many fans with their talent. WELL DONE.

CUPAN  TAE
Drum Community Centre invites you to join them for a 'cupán tae' to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge. The annual festival runs nationwide until St. Patrick's Day and aims to promote the use of the Irish language in everyday life. National and local events are being organised across the country, and Drum Community Centre in Athlone is set to play its part in promoting our native tongue by hosting a coffee morning on Saturday, 14 March from 11am to 2pm. Regardless of how much or little Irish you have, you are invited to come along and speak a cúpla focal, have a bit of fun and enjoy a cupán tae.
