Clann na nGael Notes

G.A.A 125 Celebration
The GAA has designated Sunday 10th of May as Lá na gClub. On that day, Clann will celebrate the anniversary with over 2,000 GAA clubs around the country, so keep that day free in your diaries! We'll send out more details of exactly what's going to happen nearer the day. To mark the 125th anniversary of the GAA, we are setting up a museum in the clubhouse. The museum will hold a collection of items of interest and memorabilia from over the 73 years of Clann's history; cups and trophies won by the club, footballs from important matches, old jerseys, photos, old videos, match programmes, ticket stubs, match reports, and other items of interest. We are dependent on the goodwill of the community in putting the museum together. If you have any item that you would like to donate or loan to the museum, please bring them to the clubhouse any Monday evening between 7pm and 8pm.

Minor League
Clann na nGael 2-12 St Brigids 0-5
An under strength Clann minor team recorded a well earned victory over St Brigids on Sunday evening last. Best for Clann were Francis Mc Manus, Eoin Connaughton, Shane Curley and Philip Lennon.

U-12 Trainnig
The Clann na nGael u-12 team commence training on Thursday evening at 6.30 in Johnstown.

Registration Day
The club held a very successful registration day on Sunday last in the clubhouse. Anyone wanting to play for the club is always welcome.

Community Support
In these difficult times, it is important to be aware that there are many club members and people in the community who have lost jobs. The club tries, wherever possible, to use local people in its activities and when it is carrying out improvements and maintenance. We would ask members of the local community to consider doing the same. If you have any skills which you think might be useful to the club, please approach a member of the committee.

Club Merchandise
A range of Clann na nGael gear is available to buy. All gear is made by O’Neill’s. You can see the range of gear every Sunday Morning from 11:30am until 1pm and Breda McManus is available to take your order at that time.
